Challenge
The company engaged Lumenalta to transform a basic web presence into a robust, scalable platform that could support patients and providers end to end. They needed a unified solution where patients could discover clinics, apply for and manage loans, and access personalized resources, all while simplifying backend workflows for clinic partners.
As the company scaled, they faced increasing operational strain. They struggled to keep pace with rising volumes of loan applications, provider interactions, and platform updates. Solution
Together, the teams took a phased, product-driven approach to build a comprehensive web platform. Initially, the team focused on creating a tool for clinic discovery and an application flow for financing. From there, the platform evolved into a multi-faceted solution, incorporating:

We delivered a fully integrated fertility services platform with capabilities for:
- Clinic discovery (built using Next.js to enhance SEO)
- Automated loan servicing and underwriting
- Secure document handling between patients and clinics
- Real-time provider communication
- Educational content delivery via a patient portal
- Embedded BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Later) lead-gen widgets using Preact, deployed across partner sites
- Support for over 300 clinic partnerships across the U.S.
- Full Rx portal and infrastructure for direct prescription purchases:
- Integrated with a cloud-based pharmacy provider via OAuth
- Enabled direct billing to patients using loan funds
- Built end-to-end pipes to authenticate, process, and fulfill Rx orders
We developed multiple frontend applications using React, Preact, and Next.js, paired with a Python Flask API and hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This modern, flexible stack allowed us to optimize performance and reliability while accommodating rapid feature development.
Webflow was used for marketing pages, significantly improving turnaround time for content updates. The blog was hosted using Ghost CMS to streamline publishing and SEO.
