NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. — September 21, 2026 — Lumenalta, a global data and AI engineering firm, today announced that Julie Woon has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Woon will lead Lumenalta's marketing strategy, strengthening the company’s brand and market presence while highlighting its capabilities in data engineering and agentic AI delivery.
Woon rejoins Lumenalta, having previously served as the Senior Director of Marketing Strategy, where she led global content operations and pioneered AI-enabled marketing workflows across the organization. Prior to that, she held content and digital marketing leadership roles at NP Digital, Codal Inc., and Brafton Inc., where she led enterprise content strategy, SEO, and campaign teams for brands including Adobe, Abbott Laboratories, and CFGI. She holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Christopher Newport University.
"Lumenalta's story has always been about substance over style — small teams, real engineering, and AI outcomes that hold up under scrutiny," said Woon. "My focus is making sure the market sees that as clearly as our clients do. I'm glad to be back."
As Chief Marketing Officer, Woon will refine Lumenalta's messaging and brand positioning to reflect its roots as an engineering-first, AI-driven company — distinguishing Lumenalta from traditional consultancies. Her mandate includes sharpening the narrative around Lumenalta's current strategic focus areas, including its partnership with Databricks, as well as building broader brand awareness around the company's track record of delivering measurable AI outcomes for clients.
"Julie already knows how we work and why it matters. That's rare, and it's exactly what this moment calls for," said Jeff Schmalbach, Chief Executive Officer of Lumenalta. "She knows how to tell the Lumenalta story with precision: who we are as engineers first, and the outcomes that come from that. Julie has done that for us before, and I'm confident she'll do it at an even higher level now."
Woon's appointment reflects Lumenalta's continued investment in elevating its go-to-market positioning, pairing senior engineering talent and AI-native delivery with a brand narrative built to match.
