What We’re Working On

We’re supporting a client in defining and structuring a new technical initiative centered around financial systems and workflows. This includes collaborating directly with a fintech subject matter expert (SME) to capture requirements, prioritize features, and develop a roadmap for execution. The goal is to move from ambiguity to a clear, documented build plan.

What You’ll Do

  • As a Product Owner, you’ll be embedded in a Scrum squad, driving product vision and delivery through close collaboration with engineers, BAs, and QAs.
  • You’ll manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clarity of requirements and alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with the ADM and Tech Lead to lead daily squad activities and support three amigo planning, refinement, and prioritization sessions.
  • Work with the BA to refine requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria, always staying 2–3 sprints ahead to ensure readiness.
  • Collaborate with QAs to ensure robust test coverage and provide sign-off on deliverables that meet quality and business standards.
  • Facilitate and contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support the Lead Product Owner in the broader product community of practice, contributing to continuous improvement and alignment across teams.
  • Manage cross-squad dependencies and escalate blockers early to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Provide updates and insights to program governance forums, keeping stakeholders informed on progress, risks, and priorities.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, ideally in financial services or other regulated environments.
  • Strong technical background, with the ability to understand system workflows, integrations, and technical constraints.
  • Proven track record of backlog management, requirement refinement, and ensuring delivery teams are always prepared for upcoming sprints.
  • Hands-on experience working closely with BAs, QAs, and technical leads in Scrum-based environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting updates to governance forums or leadership groups.
  • Ability to balance near-term delivery needs with longer-term product vision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional, and dependency-heavy programs.

Ongoing recruitment – no set deadline.
