Senior Manager - Accounting Department

Responsibilities

  • We are seeking an ambitious Senior Accounting Manager, reporting directly to Lumenalta’s CFO. Must have experience in the professional services industry.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Plan, oversee and execute day-to-day accounting operations, encompassing accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger management, and payroll administration.
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the preparation of financial statements, aligning with GAAP standards.
  • Coordinate and lead annual financial audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Manage cash flow forecast to optimize liquidity and maximize returns on cash investments.
  • Budget preparation and reporting to business leaders, incorporating key business performance metrics.
  • Stay informed of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. *Assist in gathering information and review of tax returns prepared by third party consultants.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements to improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Extensive experience working with Private Equity.
  • Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, or business. CPA license preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Sheets
  • International financial accounting experience, particularly in Canada, is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. *Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Location

The position will be 100% remote in EST Only USA-based Candidates will be considered at this stage.
