What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead daily stand-ups, provide technical direction, and mentor team members to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Design and maintain data ingestion and consumption APIs using Laravel/Vapor.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain Elasticsearch indices aligned with business requirements.
  • Build and maintain utilities within the Elasticsearch console.
  • Integrate and optimize Elasticsearch to deliver high-performance search capabilities.
  • Ensure application performance, quality, scalability, and responsiveness.
  • Secure Elasticsearch clusters, ensuring data integrity and privacy.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, performance issues, and bugs.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-documented code, including automation where applicable.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Laravel Architect or Technical Lead.
  • 7–10 years of experience as a software developer.
  • 2–3+ years at the Principal level (required for consideration as a technical leader).
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and deep expertise with the Laravel framework.
  • Experience or exposure to Vapor for serverless deployments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Elasticsearch and its integration with Laravel/Vapor.
  • Strong understanding of Elasticsearch architecture, cluster management, and configuration.
  • Demonstrated experience designing Elasticsearch-based solutions using open-source tools.
  • Proficiency with Elasticsearch query language, plugins, and advanced search concepts.
  • Knowledge of integrating Elastic Stack components such as Logstash and Kibana.
  • Extensive experience with Laravel configuration, deployments, and environment management.
  • Familiarity with debugging/logging tools such as Rollbar.
  • Proficiency with Git and modern version control best practices.
