Controller – Financial Controller

Responsibilities

  • We are seeking an ambitious hands-on Controller to oversee Lumenalta's financial health, reporting directly to Lumenalta's CFO. Must have experience in the professional services industry.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating day-to-day accounting functions.
  • Managing the month-end close process and preparing financial statements that are issued timely and in accordance with GAAP.
  • Providing management with accurate and comprehensive information vital to the decision-making process.
  • Managing the budget and cash flow forecasting process.
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Evaluating and monitoring company policies and procedures, ensuring appropriate internal controls.
  • Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of previous experience in a similar role
  • Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, or business. A Master's degree is preferred
  • Advanced experience using QuickBooks and being able to handle multiple entities
  • International financial accounting experience
  • Experience with multiple-state reporting
  • Experience working with regulatory compliance
  • Exemplary attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills

The position will be 100% remote in EST

Salary

Salary range: $60k - $100k annually, with final compensation determined by your qualifications, expertise, experience, and the role's scope.

Position Details

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
